   Our Origin

The Intellectual Property Division of JiWu is newly established. With a combined experience of several decades of service representing many of the world's most prestigious intellectual property rights holders, coupled with an equally extensive background as examiners, trial examiners and appellate trial examiners of the Korean Intellectual Property Office, we are able to file all types of applications, answer office actions, conduct opposition proceedings, trials and appeals, and record assignments or license agreements.

Intellectual property rights procurement and enforcement is one of the most important concerns of our clients. Ranging from patent and trademark fillings to copyrights registration, we are able to advise and act for the procurement of the most complicated patent and contentious trademark.

   Client Service

Our fast-expanding I.P. team, managed by prominent experts holding advanced degrees in science and technology, allows us to provide fast and up-to-date service, including search services for patents, computer programs, utility models, trademarks, service marks, designs.

JiWu possesses the professional skills and the expertise to guide our clients through the increasingly competitive and confusing I.P. field. We are experts in a broad range of technical fields, including mechanics, electronics, chemistry, physics, biology, optics, computers, computer software and robotics. We realize, however, that technical knowledge alone is insufficient. That is why we employ a highly specialized team of staff that can enhance the competitive edge of our clients.

   Our Global Perspective

In tune with our principles of prevention and proactivity, and the realization that Intellectual Property rights are valuable business assets, we are able to place our broad range of network and business alliances at the disposition of our clients in arranging international technology transfers and various licensing programs between Korean and foreign companies.
